Crafted for a lifetime
In the furniture game, sustainability is a word that gets thrown around quite a bit. But for us, its something that deserves more than mere lip service. That's why we're dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint throughout the entire lifecycle of our products. From the way we design, to sourcing materials, right through to production and waste management, we've been taking steps to minimise our environmental impact.
Design & Production
From the very minute we begin designing, longevity is built in to each and every product. Starting with 3D modelling software, we design and engineer our products for strength while ensuring each can be produced as efficiently as possible. From here, they enter our workshop where we combine traditional craftsmanship with leading machinery and technology that allows us to ensure quality is maintained every step of the way.
To reduce our carbon emissions, we've invested in photovoltaic solar panels to help power our workshop and have also undergone a full LED lighting upgrade. With a clear commitment to sustainability, we've also got big plans to become a carbon neutral company in the future.
All of our timber is sourced from sustainably certified suppliers who hold AFS, FSC® or PEFC certifications. This means that they've got to meet pretty strict requirements when it comes to issues such as forest regeneration, biodiversity and the protection of native fauna.
We will only ever use finishes on our Reso & Co. For Home range that are water based or derived from natural oils and waxes, so there's no unwanted or unnecessary exposure to toxins.
Waste Minimisation & Recycling
We always try to avoid waste where possible. By employing small-scale production methods we make sure we're only sourcing and using materials as needed, with any timber off cuts being repurposed into smaller components. Our "Revival" homewares range has also been designed for the sole purpose of reusing our timber offcuts.
We also proudly accept customer returns for any of our Reso & Co. For Home products that have reached the end of their useable life. Once they're returned to our workshop they will either be re-used in other products or recycled.
